A Scottish Woman Took Off Her Kilt and Gave it to Roger Federer To Wear In An Exhibition Match Yesterday
Update: It’s come to my attention that it’s not spelled “Quilt” and it’s “Kilt.” I’m an idiot and I’m leaving it as quilt in the blog to remain an idiot.
So yesterday Roger Federer and Andy Murray squared off in a friendly exhibition match in Scotland. The two got together for a good cause where they helped raise money for Unicef and the charity Sunny-sid3up. At the end of the first set Federer was asked in an on court interview why he wasn’t wearing a quilt. He responded jokingly if someone offered him one he’d wear one. Well, don’t you dare question the Scottish and their limits.
During the middle of the second set, a woman appeared out of nowhere with her coat wrapped around her waist. She had taken her own quilt off mid-match to give to Roger. Only the Scottish…
This poor guy to the left had to hold up her coat to make sure it didn’t fall while she tied it around Fed’s waist. Just a bizarro scene all around which gave birth to a new star…Roger McFederer
McFederer went on to beat Murray in the game, because of course he did, and returned the quilt to the woman after he signed it for her. There’s no one cooler on this Earth than that man and that’s not up for debate. Now Rog gets ready for next week’s ATP World Finals in London where he’ll go up against the best of the best in the year’s final tournament. Put him in a quilt, put him in a parka, put him in a bathing suit, Roger Federer is still going to still beat you.
